Day 30: At the table with Jesus

I am so grateful to my friend Sarah who allowed God to use her for the idea of 7 days of communion. We will start this on tomorrow as a way to meaningfully remember and experience Jesus.
So often we get into a ritualistic habit of communion on first Sunday as a thing we do. I challenge you to take this further. We will focus on the scripture during these days as we take communion and remember. We will be intentional. Will you join me? 7 days to remember and draw closer to Jesus.

If you will be participating in our 7 days of communion, do NOT fret about the elements. A cracker and water would suffice! You can use bread, crackers, oyster crackers, juice, whatever, it’s about heart posture.

However, if you want to make your own communion bread this is the recipe that Sarah uses:

1 c all purpose flour
1/3 c water
1/3 c olive oil
Pinch of salt

You may need to add more flour so it’s a soft dough. It shouldn’t be very sticky.

Pat out wafers to the size of your liking, place on a pan (she uses parchment paper), and bake at 375 until golden. They will keep in an airtight container. Just break off a piece each time you take communion.
