“I am sending you grain, new wine, and oil – enough to satisfy you fully.”
In full Joel 2:19 reads: The LORD will answer and say to His people, ‘Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations’
As we prepare for this fast in this new year I would like to reflect on this scripture over the next couple of days.
First- the new grain. Author, B. Shelton reminds us that this is what bread is made of. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We need Him to live. To be transformed. To get victory over sin in our life. To grow as He intends for us to grow.
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
How much we eat of the Bread of Life is up to us. The greater our challenges, the greater our need for even more bread (Jesus).
He is there for the taking. We often say we are waiting on him but He has always been there. I need to take Him more. “More of Jesus, less of me.” Literally and figuratively.
How will you intentionally consume more and relay more on Jesus today?
