We got into a great family discussion on the word fear and what it means.
Fear: To revere or honor deeply.

Now we are looking to purchase a Hebrew dictionary for translation of words within scripture.

    1. Thank you for sharing Margo! That is awesome that you are delving deeper into the word with your family. So fear has 2 meanings in the Bible. The one you described relates to how we should “Fear God” as in Proverbs 9:10, Proverbs 8:13, Psalm 111:10 and Proverbs 1:7 (to name a few). These scriptures remain us that the fear of God is indeed awe, reverence and the beginning of wisdom. Then there is the other type of fear as referenced in 2Timothy 1:7, 1John 4:18, Joshua 1:9 and Psalm 34:4. Here we are reminded not to be worried, anxious, in response to danger or uncertainty for God is with us and when we trust Him, His plan is perfect.
